RUSSIAN DOLLS

The wooden dolls are handcrafted using traditional methods in villages and rural communities in Russia. Sourced from small workshops, helping to keep the tradition alive and providing employment for women in disadvantaged communities in Russia. (Each set is supplied with a certificate of origin)

Each set is hand painted using high quality acrylic paints, in my own original, detailed designs, along the themes of British wildlife. The larger sets comprise 8 separate components and all are one-off original pieces.

The finished painting is given 2 or 3 coats of acrylic satin varnish and signed on the base of the second largest piece in the set.

The Russian dolls are not intended as suitable for children as they contain small parts.
